Course description:
This workshop explores techniques for the “Diamonds and Pearls”- commonly overlooked, but extremely important muscles of the body. Whether they are hidden beneath other well-known muscles or in areas therapists often avoid, these muscles often cause pain and dysfunction that clients experience in other areas of the body. We will explore muscles of the anterior neck, anterior torso, shoulder girdle, deep hip flexors and adductors. You will leave with a dynamic package of NEW techniques that will enliven your massage practice!

Course description:
ALL NEW- “No Thumbs” Deep Tissue Techniques for 2024! This workshop features advanced massage techniques, the imassage philosophy for extending your career as a massage therapist, Core Body Mechanics/Ergonomics, and our signature approach of avoiding thumbs when performing deeper massage. It will forever change the way you approach Deep Tissue Massage! Come learn how to perform deeper massage without harming yourself or the client with a variety of myofascial, neuromuscular, trigger point and passive/active engagement techniques your clients will love!
* While it is helpful, it is not a prerequisite to have taken the “No Thumbs” Deep Tissue Techniques workshop in order to register for this advanced workshop. You may register for this advanced class as a first-time attendee as well!
Therapists will learn:
- Advanced techniques to address the anterior neck, rotator cuff, internal rotators of the arms, hip flexors, feet, lower back and many more
- How to apply Deep Tissue Massage which will not harm the client or the therapist
- Hand saving techniques with our “No Thumbs” Deep Tissue approach
- Fresh approaches for treating many common conditions including headaches, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, lateral/medial shin splints and lower back pain
- Core Body Mechanics in a standing and seated position for career longevity
- Active engagement techniques with client movement
